Bajaj Auto net profit up 27% to Rs 210 cr

Bajaj Auto Ltd reported a net profit of Rs 210 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2005, a growth of 27 per cent over the previous corresponding period. The company achieved net sales of Rs 1,730 crore and a growth of 30 per cent.
 
Bajaj Auto's operating earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBIDTA) for the quarter grew by 38 per cent to Rs 260 crore.
 
Bajaj Auto's motorcycle sales for the first quarter reached 422,543 units, a 53 per cent growth over 275,786 units from the previous fiscal.
 
The two wheeler sales grew by 42 per cent to 452,213 for the quarter.
 
Indo Gulf profit up 18% to Rs 9.42 cr
 
Indo Gulf Fertilisers, an Aditya Vikram Birla group company, has posted a 18 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 9.42 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 compared with Rs 7.98 crore during the corresponding quarter of previous year.
 
Net sales in the current quarter grew by 9 per cent at Rs 102.96 crore against Rs 94.67 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year.
 
The company has reported a 17 per cent increase in sale of urea at 1.66 lakh metric tonne. During this quarter, the company produced 2.54 lakh tonne of urea reflecting a 117 per cent capacity utilisation.
