Bajaj Auto today reported a 11% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 255.77 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2006 when compared with Rs 230.15 crore in Q1FY06.According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, consolidated net sales increased to Rs 2,294.28 crore from Rs 1,755.83 crore in the corresponding quarter in 2005-06.The company, on a stand-alone basis, reported a 27.92% increase in net profit at Rs 266.01 crore in Q1FY07 as against Rs Rs 207.95 crore in Q1FY06. Total income increased 33.02% to Rs 2,297.22 crore from Rs 1,726.93 crore in Q1FY06.
