Bajaj Auto has registered best sales ever for the month of December. The company's sales grew by 10 per cent to 276,803 units in December 2010 when compared to 2,52,004 units sold in December 2009.
According to a release issued by the company to the BSE, December 2010 motorcycles sales grew by 11 per cent to 2,43,675 units from 2,19,920 units a year ago. It's top selling brands - Pulsar and Discover - accounted for almost 70 per cent of the total sales.
Bajaj Auto sold 33,128 units commercial vehicles, a growth of 5 per cent, as against 31,575 units in December 2009.
Further, exports rose by 4 per cent to 95,388 units from 91,369 units.
The company's total sales from the nine-month period, April to December 2010, was up 42 per cent at 2.87 million units from 2.04 million units in the corresponding period a year ago.
