Lawyers representing the Bajaj brothers - Rahul and Shishir - today informed the Company Law Board (CLB) that they were still trying hard to amicably settle the differences.

The board has adjourned the next hearing to January 14.

Last month, the board had directed the two sides to report to Chairman S Balasubramanian and submit the three main contentious issues that have stopped them from reaching an agreement. However, according to the counsel, the two sides failed to present the issues.

During the last hearing, Shishir's side had accused Rahul of mismanaging the group holding companies. The board has scheduled three consecutive days for Shishir to present his arguments from January 14 next year. Rahul's side has been granted five sessions to wind up their arguments in two sessions.

The first session will be on January 28 and 29 and the second from February 14 to 16 next year.
