Bajaj Hindusthan Q3 turnaround at Rs 1 cr

India's largest sugar firm Bajaj Hindusthan today reported a net profit of Rs 1.15 crore for the third quarter ended June 30, as against a net loss of Rs 15 crore in the year-ago period.

The total income also rose by nearly 46% to Rs 1,062 crore during April-June quarter as against Rs 728 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Bajaj Hindusthan has 14 sugar plants in Uttar Pradesh with an aggregate sugarcane crushing capacity of 136,000 tonne crushed per day and a distillery capacity to produce 800,000 litres of alcohol per day.
