Bakshi to head PepsiCo Asia

Rajeev Bakshi, chairman, PepsiCo Holdings India will be moving to the company's Asia headquarters in Hong Kong as the head of the commercial team.
 
Sanjeev Chadha, currently vice-president, PepsiCo Asia and a 16-year PepsiCo veteran, will succeed Bakshi as general manager of Pepsi-Cola India.
 
Bakshi, who was the general manager for the beverage business in India will handle key functions like business development, innovation and insights and sales capability for PepsiCo Asia across its foods and beverages portfolio.
 
"I am delighted to announce the new roles of these very capable, seasoned executives," said Ron McEachern, president, PepsiCo Asia.
 
"Rajeev Bakshi has proven an outstanding leader of our India beverage business, building our core brands, expanding our product portfolio and driving dramatic growth in the last five years.
 
In a very competitive and challenging environment, he has demonstrated a remarkable ability to move the business ahead."
 
Bakshi will remain in his current role until December 31.
 
Chadha in his new role will be responsible for all aspects of PepsiCo's beverage business in India.
 
"Sanjeev Chadha's combination of sales, marketing and general management experience have enabled him to bring exceptional leadership to our commercial agenda across Asia," McEachern said.
 
"He has been instrumental in identifying growth opportunities and articulating strategies to pursue them. I know that, with his direct experience in India and his broader perspective on Asia, he will continue to build on the Pepsi success story in India."
