Vedanta-controlled Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (Balco) on Wednesday announced annual bonus for it employees, paying about 12 per cent more as compared to last year.
The festive season this year will be cheerful for the Balco employees in Korba district of Chhattisgarh as the company has announced a hefty annual bonus. The employees will get Rs 27,700 as annual bonus this year.
“There is only a single slab of bonus and each employee right from company’s top executive to the worker will get Rs 27,700 as bonus this year,” Balco’s chief of corporate communication B K Sriwastwa said.
The announcement was made on Wednesday after the final round of meeting with the representatives of trade union and company management, he added.
In all, 4200 employees of Balco will get the annual bonus and the total payout on the account of which will be Rs 11 crore. The bonus would be paid in between Dusherra and Diwali festivals.
Last year, the employees received Rs 24,500 as annual bonus.
