Designer brand, bandage is planning to launch a new label. The new label, to be called 'Red Dot' after its company logo, is in final stages of planning and would be launched in a few months. It also plans to venture into e-commerce with an internet catalogue next year. |
"Red Dot, the new label was conceived by the need to cater to different tastes and is a part of the brand's effort to be as contemporary as possible," said Archana Shah, creator of Bandhej. |
The label would be a melange of colour palettes, silhouettes and fabrics. Like the other creations, designs from the new label would also consist of bright colours, she said. |
By establishing an internet catalogue, the brand is hoping to tap the international market. |
Currently, the brand caters to the US and European markets but a new surge for Indian fabrics and clothing has been observed in countries such as Japan, Korea and Taiwan, which would be fulfilled through internet sales. |
Though the internet catalogue will make the buying process easier, the brand does not plan to offer discounts or schemes of any kind to the customers. |
Bandhej currently offers contemporary tunics and pants, skirts, jackets, blouses, shirts, scarves, accessories, kurtas, salwaar kameez and sarees for women, shirts and kurtas in textured cotton and silk for men and plans to do something contemporary for the upcoming fall collection. |
Students from institutes such as NID and NIFT have assisted the brand in its collection, which will hit stores in a few months. |
