Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) today reported 66% rise in net profit at Rs 166.01 crore for the second quarter ended September.
The bank had a net profit of Rs 100.42 crore during the same quarter of the previous fiscal.
Total income of the state-owned bank grew to Rs 2,434.09 crore in the July-September quarter from Rs 1,945.01 crore in the same period last fiscal, BoM said in a BSE filing.
During the first half of 2012-13, the bank clocked 37.8% rise in net profit to Rs 306.47 crore compared to Rs 222.46 crore in the same period a year ago.
The bank reported a total income of Rs 4,651.39 crore in the first six months, compared to Rs 3,762.64 crore in the previous financial year.
Gross NPAs was 2% of loan assets as on September 30, 2012 as compared to 2.15% at the end of second quarter of the previous fiscal.
