German chemical company BASF India recorded a 12 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 41 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 as compared to Rs 36.75 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous year.
Over the same period, net sales remained virtually flat at Rs 38.21 crore comapred to Rs 38.29 crore, while total income dipped marginally to Rs 38.41 crore from Rs 38.58 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Revenues from the agricultural solution business rose 14.6 per cent to Rs 48.6 crore from Rs 42.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The performance products segment contributed Rs 14.54 crore in revenues for the first quarter of 2009-10 as against Rs 11.09 crore in the year-ago quarter.
