Bayer India has entered into a strategic marketing tie-up with Indo Bio-care Pvt Ltd (IBC) to market its animal health products. The arrangement will help Bayer to have access to the strong national distribution network of IBC, while the latter will get the opportunity to market Bayer's international range in livestock products and related animal health products.
In a notice to stock exchanges, Bayer India managing director Dieter Kambeck said the tie-up would help the animal husbandry practice in general in the country. It would lead to better standards of performance through increased productivity, thereby raising the economic standards for people in rural India, he added.
Through this tie-up, a broad range of products will be introduced in the livestock and companion animals segments -- among them being Bayticol Pour-on, a ready to use potent ectoparasiticide; Asuntol WP, an ectoparasiticide; Catosal 10% Injectable, a metabolic tonic and stimulant; Negasunt powder, a potent maggoticidal & antibacterial wound dressing powder; Bayrocin 10% Injectable, an anti-infective; Drontal Plus tablets, a dewormer; and Bolfo spray, which acts against ticks & fleas.
The World Animal Health industry is estimated at Euro 14.9 billion, with livestock, poultry and 'companion' animals constituting nearly 90% of the market.
