Bharat Electronics (BEL) today reported a 22% increase in net profit at Rs 713.85 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 when compared with Rs 583.01 crore in FY06.According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, turnover increased 12% to Rs 3,960.38 crore for FY07 from Rs 3,536 crore in FY06. The order book, as on April 1, 2007 is estimated to be around Rs 9,000 crore as against Rs 6,600 crore last year.The company is aiming at a turnover of $1 billion in the current financial year (2007-08), and $2 billion by the year 2011-12, the release added.
