Bharat Earth Movers (BEML) today announced that the company has received large defence orders valued at Rs 800 crore from the ministry of defence for various ground-support high-mobility vehicles.According to a release issued by BEML to the BSE today, the vehicles include BEML-Tatra 4x4, 6x6, 8x8 trucks for high mobility applications, heavy recovery vehicles, special purpose vehicles for pinaka/radar project and 50 tonne trailers and engineering mine ploughs for breaching minefields.The majority of supplies will be made in the financial year 2006-07 and the rest carry-forwarded to the year 2007-08, the release added.
