Benchmark Agencies Director Nisheeth Joshi told reporters here that Gujarat had "huge potential for gas-based water heaters considering that a significant number of homes in areas like Surat and Ankleshwar use LPG or PNG." |
He added that the market for gas-based geysers was growing by 30-40 per cent each year and that over the next two years over 80 per cent of Gujarat would prefer gas to electricity when it came to heaters. |
"The volume of heat load handled by an electrical heater is three kilo watts whereas that of a gas-based heater is much more..around 12 kilo watts," he said. |

The company is also looking to expand its presence in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. |
