Heavy electrical equipment maker BGR Energy Systems today said its consolidated net profit grew by 74.32 per cent to Rs 201.45 crore in the year ended March 31, 2010, over the same period a year ago.
The company had a consolidated net profit of Rs 115.56 crore in the last fiscal, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Consolidated total income increased to Rs 3,077.93 crore in the year under review from Rs 1,935.45 crore in the corresponding period last year.
For the quarter ended March 31, 2010, the company's standalone net profit rose to Rs 108.31 crore from Rs 46.96 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Standalone total income climbed to Rs 1,659.76 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 718.34 crore during the same period year ago.
For the year ended March 31, 2010, the company's standalone net profit surged to Rs 201.02 crore from Rs 115.09 crore in the 12-month period last fiscal.

The board has recommended a dividend of Rs 7 per share on the paid-up share capital of the company for the year 2009-10.
