Bharat Electronics Q3 profit up 9.45% to Rs 297.5 cr

Public sector defence equipment maker Bharat Electronics Ltd said third quarter profits rose 9.45% to Rs 297.5 crore while revenue dipped by 5.65% to Rs 1,517 crore on slower customer business.

Bengaluru-based company had reported profits of Rs 271.8 crore and revenues of Rs 1,721.7 crore in the October to December period last year, the company said in a exchange filing.

BEL said it had delivered the Akash Missile system to both the Army and the Air Force, 3D tactical control radar and low level light weight radar in the last three months.

At the same time, it got orders for weapon locating radars, integrated air command control system and Shakti electronic warfare systems during the period with a total order value of Rs 12,776 crore.

Its order book as on December stood at Rs 32,333 crore.
