Bharat Forge has registered a net profit of Rs 161.63 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 - a gain of 29% over the previous years Rs 124.90 crore. Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 851.14 crore in FY-04 to Rs 1,226.46 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.The Company has posted a 33.50% rise in net profit to Rs 48.37 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as against Rs 36.23 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 240.85 crore in Q4-04 to Rs 363.38 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.According to a release issued by Bharat Forge to the BSE, the Board has recommended a dividend of Rs 12.50 per equity share (125%) subject to shareholders approval.
