Bharat Forge Q1 profit declines 14% to Rs 90.60 cr

Company posted stand alone net profit of Rs 105.21 crore in the same period previous fiscal

Auto components maker Bharat Forge today reported a 13.88% decline in its stand alone net profit at Rs 90.60 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2013, due to slowdown in the automotive market.

The company had posted a stand alone net profit of Rs 105.21 crore in the same period previous fiscal.

Company's total sales decreased to Rs 771.65 crore in the April-June quarter against Rs 916.25 crore during the same period last year, Bharat Forge said in a filing with BSE.

Bharat Forge's shares were trading today afternoon at Rs 230.75 per scrip on BSE, up 16.39% from its previous close.
