| Birla Power Solutions (BPSL) reported a profit of Rs 1.87 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, compared to a loss of Rs 34.57 lakhs during the corresponding period last year. Sales for the quarter grew 85 per cent on a y-o-y basis to Rs 28.81 crore. |
| EPS stood at Rs 1.79 as compared with Rs 0.33 over the corresponding period last fiscal. The company recently diversified into multi purpose engines and its application products such as pumpsets, sprayers, vibrators and lawn mowers, bpsl said. |

Total income has increased 7.13 per cent to Rs 1,254.95 crore from Rs 1,171.36 crore in the same period last fiscal. |
