Bharti Tele-Ventures has raised $315 million (Rs 1,500 crore) through long-term foreign currency borrowings at an average cost of 5.5 per cent for major expansion of its cellular operations in the country.
The company has opted for a combination of long term foreign currency loans which included $125 million through syndicated loans, $160 million of buyer credit facility supported by Export Kredit Namnden (EKN), Sweden, and $30 million raised from Nordic Investment Bank (NIB).
