Bharti ties up with Motorola

The post-paid customers can choose from three Motorola handsets - a sleek mobile for Rs 499, colour mobile for Rs 999 and camera mobile for Rs 2,499, with easy monthly instalments over 18 months. The handsets will be financed by a leading private bank.

 
Announcing this first ever offer, Manoj Kohli, president mobility, Bharti Tele-Ventures Ltd, said, "This innovative offer has been specially designed to further bring down the mobile entry barrier, thus enabling lakh of retail & business customers to go mobile, enjoying the virtues of full mobility. We have also included an additional features such as easy instalment plans backed by handset insurance cover to make this offer even more irresistible."

 
Commenting on the partnership, Percy Batlivala, general manager, personal communication sector - India & South West Asia, said "As part of the initiative, Motorola is happy to partner with AirTel. The Motorola handsets included in this offer are among the latest in the world and I am sure that this will go a long way in popularizing our latest handsets within the Indian market."

 
Initially, Bharti Tele-Ventures will offer the services in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Pune, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore & Cochin, Indore, Agra, Ambala & Shimla.
