Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (Bhel), a public sector power equipment company, has bagged order worth Rs 140 crore for supplying two gas turbine generating units of 42 Mw each to International Energy Resources, a UAE-based company.
With this order, Bhel has been able to secure orders for six gas turbine generating units from UAE worth Rs 450 crore, a company release said.
So far the company has set up 14 power projects in the West Asia, apart from substations and supply of a host of equipment for the power, oil and gas companies. At 12.15 PM, the company’s share at the Bombay Stock Exchange was trading at Rs 1,708, up 1.15 per cent from the previous close.
