BHEL, Bangalore topline up 41 per cent

The Bangalore-based divisions of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) "" electronics division (EDN), industrial systems group (ISG) and electroporceleins division (EPD) "" has recorded a turnover of Rs 1,150 crore in 2005-06. It is 41 per cent over the previous year.

The company that the units showed all-round improvement in their operations with a profit before tax of Rs 289 crore, up 45 per cent over the previous year.

During the year, the BHEL Bangalore units recorded an all time high orders inflow of Rs 1,427 crore. The outstanding order book position of these units at the end of 2005-05 stood at Rs 2,434 crore.

During the year, the units registered exports turnover of Rs 163 crore and booked exports contracts of Rs 315 crore.
