The second phase, which is also being implemented concurrently, will involve an additional investment of Rs 732 crore and would enhance the boiler plant capacity to 15,000 Mw per annum. |

The capacity augmentation schemes would comprise addition of shop floor areas, installation of machinery and equipment, facilitating enhancement of productivity at all critical and essential work centres. |

This will also meet the technical requirements for manufacturing 800-mega watt and 1,000-mega watt super critical boilers. |

The Trichy complex is targeting a turnover of Rs 10,000 crore by 2011-2012 and has drawn up plans for the same. It has recruited about 700 artisans and 110 supervisor trainees. |
