Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) today reported a 70% jump in net profit at Rs 1,621 crore in 2005-06 when compared with Rs 953 crore in FY05.Announcing the provisional financial results for the year 2005-06, BHEL CMD A K Puri said: "The turnover stood at Rs 14,410 crore as against Rs 10,336 crore in FY05 - an increase of 39%."The company had an order outstanding position of Rs 37,500 crore at the end of March 2006. The earnings per share has gone up to Rs 66.2 from Rs 38.95 last year, he added.
