Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has won trunkey contracts for setting up two power projects of 1,000 MW each from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC).According to a release issued by BHEL to the BSE today, the pojects will add 48 million units every day to the grid on commissioning."BHEL has won international competitive bidding contracts for setting up two units of 500 MW each at Koderma Thermal Power Station (TPS) in Jharkhand and two units of 500 MW each at Durgapur Steel TIPS inWest Bengal - both on turnkey basis."Valued at over Rs 6,500 crore, the orders have been placed on BHEL by Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) who have once again reposed confidence in BHEL's proven technological excellence and capability in executing projects of this magnitude," the release said.
