Ballarpur Industries (BILT) today posted a 15.42% increase in its net profit to Rs 95.8 crore for the fourth quarter ended June 30.
The company, which makes writing and printing paper, had a net profit of Rs 83 crore for the April-June quarter 2010, BILT said in a statement.
During the quarter under review, the firm recorded a 10.28% increase in its revenue to Rs 1,187.4 crore, against Rs 1,076.7 crore in the year-ago period.
For the year-ended June 30, 2011, the firm had a net profit of Rs 265.6 crore, an increase by 10.48% from Rs 240.4 crore posted in the fiscal year ended June 30, 2010.
During the reporting year, BILT's revenue stood at Rs 4,498.1 crore, up by 18.54% from Rs 3,794.6 crore in the previous fiscal.
Shares of BILT closed at Rs 29 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, down 2.05% from previous close.
