Biocon today said it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Karolinska Institute in Sweden to collaborate in research and research education initiatives.The MoU was signed between the two organisations on May 27 at the Karolinska Institute, Sweden, between Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, chairman and managing director of the Biocon and Prof Harriet Wallberg-Henriksson, president of Karolinska Institute, Biocon informed the BSE.Under the MoU, the two sides agreed to partner in product development, joint PHD studies at Karolinska Institute, joint research programs between Karolinska Institute and the company and carrying out scientific symposia in India sponsored by the company in association with the institute, it said.
