Birla Corporation has registered a 110% surge in consolidated net profit at Rs 86.39 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 41.10 crore in FY04. Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 1,008.95 crore in FY-04 to Rs 1,156.94 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005. According to a release issued by Birla Corp to the BSE, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 38.14 crore - a rise of 18%for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 over Rs 32.38 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2004. Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 314.44 crore in Q4-04 to Rs 353.32 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.For the year ended March 31, 2005, the company has reported a 109% spurt in net profit at Rs 86.87 crore as compared to Rs 41.56 crore in FY04. Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 1,007.33 crore in FY-04 to Rs 1,156.96 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.
