Birla VXL has changed its name to Digjam. According to a press release issued to the exchanges, it has received fresh certificate of incorporation from Registrar of Companies, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Birla VXL is a S K Birla group company and is primarily invloved in manufacturing of fabrics for suitings. The company earlier had two main divisions of textiles and chemicals. However, now it has restructured its business portfolios and started focusing on its textile division. Birla VXL is engaged in manufacturing and marketing fabrics and ready-to-wear clothing under its own brands. It manufactures woollen/ worsted yarns, piece goods and fabrics under the brand names of VXL, OCM and Digjam. The company has manufacturing units at Faridabad, Noida and Bangalore. The company exports around 40% of its production to markets such as the USA, Europe, West Asia and Far East.
