Blue Dart Express today said it has posted Rs 29.08-crore profit after tax (PAT) for the first quarter ended March 31, down from Rs 36.11 crore in the same period last year.
Income from operations for the quarter under review stood at Rs 410.91 crore compared to Rs 336.33 crore in the same period last year, up 22.17%, South Asia's leading express air and integrated transportation distribution and logistics company said in a statement here.
It has registered a net profit of Rs 122.24 crore and income from operation of Rs 1,489.60 crore in the year ended December 2011.
"The company will continue to focus on product innovation, reach expansion, transit time improvements, small town (Tier-II and III) activation and strengthening channels," said Anil Khanna, Managing Director, Blue Dart Express.
