BMW appoints Schlipf as MD and CEO of India fin services arm

His appointment is effective from April 1, 2013; Schlipf will be based at company's headquarters in Guragaon

German luxury car maker BMW today announced the appointment of Stefan David Schlipf as the head of its auto finance business in the country.

Stefan David Schlipf has been appointed as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BMW Financial Services India, a company release said here.

His appointment is effective from April 1, 2013, it said, adding, Schlipf will be based at company's headquarters in Guragaon (Haryana).

Prior to joining his present assignment, Schlipf worked as Managing Director, New Markets and Cooperation Management, BMW Financial Services in Munich, the release said.

BMW Financial Services India is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BMW Group and operates with three business verticals- retail finance, commercial finance and insurance solutions (through cooperation partners).

The finance entity offers solutions for retail automobile financing for BMW customers and multi make customers, financing for fleet owners and commercial financing for BMW dealerships and multi make dealerships.
