BOC to set up industrial gas plant in Baddi

BOC India Ltd has been given permission to set up a Rs 240 crore gas plant in Himachal Pradesh's Baddi industrial area to produce oxygen, nitrogen and argon gases, top government sources said here.

Officials said Rs 170 crore will be spent in the first phase and the remaining amount in the second phase to set up this world class plant.

BOC India is a member of the BOC group, the second largest industrial gases company in the world with business in at least 70 countries. The proposed plant will produce 56,575 tonnes of oxygen, apart from nitrogen and argon gas.
