Aviation training institutes are now roping in Bollywood actresses and pop singers as trainers and brand ambassadors.

Avalon Aviation Academy, a leading institute, has lined up former Miss World Diana Hayden, former Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman and pop diva Sharon Prabhakar for training candidates.

While Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training has appointed bollywood actor Soha Ali Khan (pictured).

"Institutes are trying to get maximum attention by inviting Bollywood personalities in the wake of increasing aviation training institutes. Recently, a Delhi-based aviation institute invited model and actress Malaika Arora while a Jalandhar organisation invited Bollywood new entrant Tanushree Dutta for their inauguration," said industry analysts.

Diana Hayden will train cabin crew on "poise and grace". While Zeenat Aman will train on confidence building, Sharon Prabhakar will harp on on communication skills.

Avalon Aviation Academy Functional head Preeti Malik said: "Zeenat Aman, Diana Hayden and Sharon Prabhakar go way beyond the popular perception of Bollywood personalities and a pop diva. The three will be associated with Avalon as guest faculty and train the cabin crew students on communication, presentation and grooming skills."

Preeti pointed out that Diana Hayden has been extensively trained herself and has got tremendous international exposure while Zeenat Aman, besides being a former Miss Asia Pacific, conveys a lot of poise and is again with a global outlook.

Sharon, besides being a theatre and music personality, has done a lot of grooming and communication training already.

"Each one of them brings to the table their rich experience and expertise. Our students will have the advantage of being trained by the world's finest trainers and definitely be able to benefit from the tremendous experience of the trainers. Having three of them as their mentors will certainly add value to their resume," Preeti added.

Frankfinn Insititute senior executive said Soha Ali Khan embodies the spirit of the institute as she is a symbol of youth, aspiration and beauty.

But they have no plans to rope Soha into training space. However, Air Hostess Academy (AHA) Consultant Sapna Gupta said there is no plans to rope in Bollywood personalities for training.

"These celebrities bring nothing to the table. We would like to follow the model of no brand ambassador, as our students are our brand ambassadors," Sapna said.
