Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has received the final insurance payment of Rs 864 crore for the fire at the Bombay High platform in July 2006. The total claim for the loss due to the fire worked out to around Rs 1,700 crore, making it the largest insurance claim in India. The platform was insured by United India Insurance Company.
