Apparel manufacturer and exporter Bombay Rayon Fashions today reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 136.67 crore for the financial year 2008-09.
The apparel company had recorded a net profit of Rs 122.74 crore in the previous fiscal.
The company in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) said that the figures of the latest fiscal are not comparable with the figures of the corresponding period a year earlier, due to its merger with its subsidiary firm Leela Scottish Lace.
The consolidated net sales of the company stood at Rs 1,514.51 crore during 2008-09, while the same was at Rs 1,089.05 crore in the last fiscal.
The garment exporter posted a net profit of Rs 148.49 crore during the FY09 on a standalone basis, whereas it had a net profit of Rs 121.12 crore the last year.
The standalone net sales of the company stood at Rs 1,342.40 crore during the financial year 2008-09, while it was at Rs 926.11 crore the last year.
Bombay Rayon Fashions has declared a dividend of 15 per cent or Rs 1.50 per share for the 2008-09 fiscal.
Shares of the Bombay Rayon Fashions dipped to 4 per cent and were trading at Rs 185.55 in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
