Booker, UK's cash and carry wholesaler has opened its second India in Pune followed by Mumbai. The Pune store is under the business name of Booker Satnam Wholesale Pvt Ltd and is a joint venture with a local partner who are promoters of Kohinoor Foods. The store will trade under the name of Booker Wholesale.
Zunaid Bangee, CEO, Booker said "Booker will be focusing on FMCG range of Food and Non Food categories. It will bring in significant expertise in terms of systems, processes and efficiency in managing the supply chain and back end operation The portfolio of products will include fresh, grocery and staples, processed food and beverages.”
