Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) today launched its 'Pure for sure' campaign in eastern India in a bid to win over customers with an assurance on the quality and quantity of fuel and lubricants sold at its outlets.
At the inaugural function of the campaign, attended by state industries minister Nirupam Sen, BPCL officials announced that in the first phase, 98 sites would be covered and several hundred would be added later in phases.
The campaign would address reservations in the minds of customers about the quality and quantity of fuel sold by dealers by providing self check devices and other value-added facilities at select pumps.

The 'Pure for sure' campaign would be developed as a brand to identify the selected outlets and prominent displays would be used to get cars to turn in.
On the supply side, the company will invest in tamper proof tankers and dispensing devices, besides conducting regular checks at outlets, indicated company officials.
In a parallel development, the Oil Industry Safety Directorate (OISD) and BPCL have organised a workshop to train public sector oil company managers in improved safety measures and preventive practices to avert accidents.
The workshop, inaugurated today by S Behuria, BPCL's director for marketing, and P V R Ayyar, OISD's executive director, would educate managers about the 86 safety standards for oil and gas establishments and the importance of training in mishap prevention, said sources.
