For the 12 months of 2001-02, BPL had reported a net profit of Rs 37.89 crore on net sales of Rs 1,366.50 crore.
In 18 months, the group totted up losses of Rs 280 crore. Further, the group also has a debt of over Rs 1,000 crore.
For the second quarter ended September 2003, BPL posted a net loss of Rs 59.58 crore compared with a net loss of Rs 59.95 crore for corresponding previous quarter ended September 2002.
