Brady begins mfg, BPO operations

Brady Corporation, a global player in identification solutions and specialty materials, has started manufacturing operations in Bangalore.

The Milwaukee (US)-headquartered company recently entered India by setting up a wholly-owned subsidiary, Brady Company India Pvt Ltd.

The manufacturing facility at Electronics City in Bangalore will focus on products and solutions for mobile phone and electronics manufacturing industries.

The facility is equipped with advanced equipment specialising in precision die cutting, punching, stamping, laminating and printing, a press release said.

"The presence in Bangalore allows us to serve our customers better, strengthen key partnerships and extend our reach into the Indian markets," said Allan Klotsche, vice-president, Asia Pacific region, Brady Corporation.

Brady India has also announced opening a BPO unit in Bangalore, which will provide finance and accounting services to the company. Founded in 1914, Brady Corporation had a sales turnover of about $1 billion in the fiscal 2006.

The company employs more than 7,000 people globally.
