BSNL-Akash Optifibre launches interactive TV initiative

BSNL, along with fibre optic cables manufacturer, Akash Optifibre today launched an interactive and personalised television initiative, Icontrol, that gives users freedom to watch programmes as per their convenience.     

Icontrol is a television connection that allows viewers to watch programmes as per their convenience with more than 120 channels.     

"It has an extensive movie library with Hollywood and Bollywood titles at no extra-cost," BSNL Chief General Manager G K Agarwal,(Rajasthan) told reporters at a joint press conference here.     

"For Jaipur, customers would get a free set-up box against fully refundable security deposit of Rs 999 and would have to pay a monthly rent of Rs 150 per month," Akash Opticfibre MD K S Choudhari, said.     

Icontrol is currently available for BSNL broadband subscribers, Choudhari added.
