Communications Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad launched the services in Gurgaon today. BSNL chairman Anupam Srivastava said, "we have increased the internet speed four times. We have ensured 2 mbps is available at the last mile, which is the customer premises."
He expects to add broadband users at a growth rate of 10% every year.

The move is part of BSNL's plan to revive its business through various measures. Earlier, it had announced free roaming for its mobile users and launched new plan for broadband users aiming to increase its landline base.
BSNL has been posting losses. The loss stood at around Rs 7,600 crore at end of March 15, 2015
