Maintaining its thrust of production of value-added grades of steel, Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP)—the flagship entity of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)--has ended the first ten months of the current fiscal with best-ever production of Electrode Quality (E.Q.) Wire Rods.
A statement issued by the company here today said that the BSP produced 1,53,100 tonnes (T) Electrode Quality (E.Q.) Wire Rods in the first ten months of the current financial year 2011-12 (April to January period) as compared to 1,42,100 T produced in 2008-09 during the corresponding period.Similarly, the company produced 77,800 T boiler quality (BQ) plates as against 74,700 T recorded in 2008-09.
