Drug firm Cadila Healthcare today said its consolidated net profit rose by 29.49 per cent to Rs 170.8 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.
The company had a consolidated net profit of Rs 131.9 crore in the same period previous fiscal, Cadila Healthcare said in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Total income of the company rose to Rs 1,120.5 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, compared to Rs 949.8 crore in the same period last fiscal.
For the six month period ending September 30, 2010, the company net profit was Rs 370.02 crore against Rs 256.71 crore in the year-ago period.
The net sales of the company for the six months ended September 30, 2010 stood at Rs 2161.41 crore, compared to Rs 1792.89 crore in the same period previous fiscal.
Shares of Cadila Healthcare were trading at Rs 686.40 on BSE in the late afternoon trade, down 0.54 per cent from its previous close.
