"Andhra Pradesh has constituted a committee comprising representatives from IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, TCS and Infosys to make radical changes to the educational curriculum to suit industry requirements," he said on the sidelines of an HR conclave organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here today.
It has been imparting industry grade skills to students through its flagship Jawahar Knowledge Centres (JKC), established jointly by the state, industry. Besides, AP plans to employ 1.5 million people in the private sector by 2014 under its Rajiv Education and Employment Council mission, according to the minister. While around 354,000 people have already been employed, some 43,000 were undergoing training, he stated.
