CallHealth to launch integrated healthcare services from Sept

CallHealth Services, an integrated health care services start-up based here, plans to launch its operations towards the end of September, according to chief executive Hari Thalapalli.

Incorporated in November 2013 with an authorised capital of Rs 55 crore and paid-up capital of Rs 25 crore, CallHealth has received investment of Rs 60 crore from Quark Enterprises, a holding company of Sandhya Raju, daughter-in-law of Ramalinga Raju of Satyam fame.

“Right now, we are in the field trial mode across 28 PoPs (points of presence) in Hyderabad. Our plan is to enter key urban towns and cities, covering a population of 450 million, over the next 24 months,” Thalapalli said.

CallHealth provides doctor consultation (through a video conference), diagnostic tests, professional home care services like nursing, physiotherapy and a family doctor at patient’s home, beside home-delivering prescribed medicines, and facilitating transportation in the case of advanced tests and hospitalisation.

The company has 900 employees, including specialist doctors, nursing staff, facilitators, and mobile health and drug delivery officers.

According to Sudhakar Nukala, chief operating officer, the firm has tied up with 75 hospitals in Hyderabad, and is contemplating adding 42 medical specialisations for about 1,050 known ailments. It is planning to offer the services through a 24x7 call centre, website and an app.
