The Murugappa Group company Carborundum Universal Ltd (CUMI) has entered into a techno-commercial agreement with Sheffled Refractories, UK and with Anderman Ceramics, UK to manufacture, supply and install a range of high end refractory solutions for the steel industry, glass industry and for aerospace component manufacture.
The manufacturing of these products would be done at Carborundum's plant at Ranipet and also at the proposed new location.
CUMI would be able to leverage its association with Sheffield Refractories to offer proven, world class refractory solutions to these industries, according to company's statement.
On the association with Anderman Ceramics, the company said CUMI would use their expertise to address the Aerospace industries and other industry segements.
"With these agreements, CUMI would be able to offer its customers a complete basket of proven refractory products for all major industry segments," according to company's statement.
