Career-Graph, a Bangalore-based talent search firm, has announced the launch of "Resume Grabber", an HR service. The software electronically extracts and categorises e-mail resumes using client-defined keywords and parameters. It is aimed at cutting down the hiring cycle time.

According to Anjan Dutta, principal consultant, Career-Graph, "We have found that the accuracy levels of the service is over 80 per cent on the key parameters. We also ensure complete confidentiality by doing the entire work at the client's office. Our unique proposition comes at a fraction of what it could cost the company to process the same manually. The most important factor is you reach out to the candidates much faster."

Resume Grabber is targeted at HR managers, primarily in the IT industry, who have to go through the tedious process of wading through thousands of e-mail responses manually on a regular basis.

"This problem becomes even more acute after a recruitment advertisement or during a sustained hiring campaign. With Resume Grabber, HR personnel can devote themselves to more creative work like shortlisting, scheduling and interviewing candidates instead of wading through thousands of unread e-mails. This will also ensure that the company meets the most relevant candidates immediately," Dutta added.

The service can be custom-made for an organisation with ambitious hiring plans. The company claims that a week's effort from the HR manager of a company along with his team of recruiters can be reduced to about two days with the help of Resume Grabber.
