Carrier India has been awarded the air-conditioning order from Delhi International Airport (DIAL) for its upcoming Terminal 3. The project is estimated to be of Rs 20 crore in value.
Following this project the compay is hopeful of similar wins for other airports as well. "We are in negotiations with the for the Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata airports for air-conditioning," said Krishan Sachdev, director- Marketing & Strategy, Carrier India.
Carrier, a subisdiary of the US based Carrier Corp and has done simila projects with many airports globally, including the Stansted Airport, United Kingdom, the Toronto International Airport, Canada, the Prague Airport, Czech Republic, to name a few.
“We are proud to have been awarded such a prestigious project,” said Zubin Irani, managing director, Carrier India.
The Delhi International Airport expects Terminal 3 to be operational before the Commonwealth games in 2010. It will be approximately 5.2 million square feet with annual capacity of 34 million passengers.
