Castrol India, market leader in the retail automotive lubricant segment, has posted a marginal rise of 0.56 per cent in net profit to Rs 32.14 crore for the first quarter ended March 2006 as compared with Rs 31.96 crore in the same period last year. Net sales for the quarter increased 18 per cent to Rs 375.7 crore from Rs 319.7 crore. |
Profit before tax has also gone up by 7 per cent to Rs 49.4 crore from Rs 46.3 crore last year. Total income has increased to Rs 379.94 crore from Rs 325.27 crore. For the full year ended March 2006 net profit stood at Rs 146.99 crore and total income was Rs 1,505.28 crore. |

ENIL net at Rs 5.49 cr |
Entertainment Network India (ENIL) posted net profit of Rs 5.49 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2006. Gross turnover increased by 57.69 per cent to Rs 120.19 crore for the full year ended March from Rs 76.22 crore last year. |
Since the company is publishing results for the first time post its IPO in February 2006, the fourth quarter numbers for the previous year are not available. |
Everest Inds net dips 10.74% |
Everest Industries has posted net profit of Rs 4.32 crore, down by 10.74 per cent compared with Rs 4.84 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. |
The company has registered net sales of Rs 67.22 crore for the quarter, up 12.5 per cent from Rs 59.75 crore posted last year. |
For the full year ended March 2006, the company posted net profit of Rs 31.13 crore, growing 227 per cent compared with Rs 9.51 crore reported in the previous year. Net sales of Rs 253.06 crore, 20.68 per cent growth over Rs 209.69 reported in the previous year. |
